Sets mainly during the season 4 finale, with mentions of seasons 1, 2 and 3.
I don't own TWD. *sighs*
It's one of those things that you only realize it happened when you stop to think about it.
It's a beautiful thing, really.
When he met him, he was just the younger brother of the douchebag on the roof. As far as he knows, he's a tracker and a furious guy, screaming how could you've left my brother in there, you assholes!
They organize a search party, to find the asshole, only to discover that he cut his hand off, stole their vehicle and ran away.
And while the world is coming to an end, their something is starting to grow. He's not ready to call it friendship, but he's willing to trust this guy who looks like a predator, just waiting for the perfect moment to attack.
Then they lost Sophia, Carl got shot, his wife was pregnant and the group was pressuring him to convince Hershel to let them stay in the farm. It's a nice place, it's a safe place, it's the ray of hope that they need in order to move on.
While all the others lost their faith, he continued to search for Sophia. He's a tracker, he's a predator, and he knows what he's doing. It's alright to trust him?
Shane lost it and after all the shouting, all the shooting that pretty girl who was with Carl from the beginning came from the deep of the barn.
Everybody was sad, crushed and bang, he shot her because that's the right thing to do.
Then it was Dale, and you don't have to be the only one to do this and bang.
Things changed. And when he couldn't trust Shane anymore and asked him to do the round and Shane said so he's your wingman now? He realized that yes, he was, and yes, he trusted him.
The farm fell, the seasons passed and they found the prison. Things were doing okay, they're going to be okay.
But Lori died, the Governor came and he lost it. He was seeing things, he was shaking and couldn't make the right calls.
He became a farmer and that guy who used to be the tracker, was now one of the guys who kept things from falling apart. Then he said if it helps, when shit hits the fan, you stand up and do the right thing.
The Governor came, again and destroyed everything they've worked so hard for.
It was just him and Carl. Then Michonne, again. If he found Michonne, he could find the others, right? They can't have hope these days, but against his will, he finds himself hoping to find the others.
It's dark, the fire is not burning anymore and he's in the brick of losing it, with this guy holding the gun in his head, Michonne's head and Carl is with that big guy who's ready to rape him and he's getting beaten up by these two guys and snap.
He lost it.
His head was ringing and when he came to his senses, he's leaning against the car, while Carl is asleep inside with Michonne.
He always had his back. They had a rocky start and now that he's thinking about it, every time he went to do something stupid, something necessary or just something, he was there, waiting for his signal to attack. One look, and he killed or gave him the weapon to kill.
It's not on you, Daryl. You must know, it's not on you.
It's a beautiful thing, really. One of those things that you can't see nowadays, He is resourceful, he is someone that he can trust with his life and,
You're my brother, Daryl.
One look, and he knows that he's his brother too.
I was watching the old seasons in Netflix and it never cease to amaze me how loyal Daryl is. Even if he doesn't agree with Rick, he puts it on hold and talks to him. If he sees his point, perfect; if not, oh well.
Oh! This is my first time writing for my favorite show. So, reviews are greatly appreciated!
Bye now!
