Melodramatic Daddy & Tired Mummy
Cool Uncle Oswald
His little Alice was just four when she told him that when she grew up she will marry someone like her Uncle Oswald. Shocked, his hold on the coffee mug slipped. The silent after the mug broke to pieces was deafening. Almost in trance, he bended down to clean up the mess before wiping the coffee stains on the kitchen floor. After making sure there's no glasses shred anywhere, he picked up both Alyss and Alice out from the kitchen. Settling both of his daughter on one of the sofas in the living room, he took in a deep breath.
His little Alice is just four he reminded himself again. Of course she is still unable to understand the concept of marriage. Looking at Alyss's lavender eyes that now fixed on his face, he forced a smile. "Tell me little Alice, why would you want to marry someone like Uncle Oswald?" Levi asked the feared question.
Alice was grinning, tilting her head slightly towards her right as she answered him elatedly, "Because Uncle Oswald is cool!" her violet eyes was glittering with innocent happiness, laughing before she buried her face at the nape of his neck trying to hide her blushing face.
"Eh! Why won't you marry someone like daddy" turning around, he looked at his other daughter, "Say, my lovely Alyss, will you marry someone like daddy?"
Alyss however, let out a squeak before she started giggling as she shook her head. "Silly daddy" was all she said before both of them run up the stairs towards their room leaving their shocked daddy sinking further into the sofa.
That's how Lacie found him two hours after his little chat with his daughters.
Struggling to lock the main entrances' door, Lacie let out a soft grunt of displease, trying her best to balance the glossary bags in her hand. After hearing a soft 'click' she threw the keys at the top of the shoe rack, making her way towards the kitchen. With practice ease, she kept the glossary on their respective places. Decidedly tired, she stepped into the living room.
What she found there made her smiled.
The moment she sat down on the sofa, Levi inched closer towards her before he suddenly enveloped her with a bone crushing hug. "They told me today that they rather marry someone like Oswald than someone like me. Why? My little Alice said that Oswald is cool. Little Alyss just called my 'silly'. Why are my daughters favoring their uncle more than their own daddy?" the words erupted from his mouth just as sudden as his hug was.
Suddenly, she felt more tired than before. Resignedly, she patted her husband head, shushing his melodramatic tears.
Her daughters are definitely smarter than her at their age.
The next time Oswald came to visit Lacie, he wondered if he did anything wrong since Levi kept on throwing him a dirty glare as he hugged both of his nieces.
A/N: I just realized that every time when I wrote PH Fan fiction, it always ends up with a sad/tragedy theme. So, Tada! My first attempt to write something light for PH Fan fiction instead of my usual. Do review~! ;)
Oh by the way, this story took place a year before the storyline 'Three little pigs and a big bad wolf'. Hopefully there will be no confusion to the readers. But of course it can be read on it's own.
