001.

"...Everything's long since ready."

Above, it was a vast amount of empty black space. The stars seemed to have shied away into oblivion, almost not visible in spite the absence of clouds.

Everything was still. Even the wind was holding its breath.

"The moon tonight reminds me of that night..."

The stench of death hangs heavily in the air. Tears line his dirt-covered cheeks, and his eyes, muddle and disbelieving still, can only pleadingly look at his brother's retreating form.

There was a sudden puff of gentle breeze, and slowly he let his lids cover his eyes, trying to picture the vague memories of that day.

Haa. Haa. Haaa.

His vision focuses and blurs, swirling to colours of only black and gray.

Haa. Haa. Haaa...—

As he falters and falls to the ground, his hazy vision barely catches the single tear that escaped his brother's eye.

Dark pools of eyes opened once more. "He was crying."

He tilted his head back, eyes engaging at the pearl full moon in stark contrast with the velvet black sky. For the full, short moment that it took him to blink, he was distinctly reminded of crying chartreuse eyes, far from the gruesome fate that was his clan.

Sasuke... kun...

With a slow intake of breath, he drew his lips into a thin line, falling to another short conversation with the masked Akatsuki.
