Just a little something about Gibbs and Ziva that I thought of while watching "Hiatus Pt. 2." I don't own NCIS...
She cared about him. She really did. No matter what anybody said, Ziva looked up to Gibbs. Since coming to the United States, she had been alone. But, he had welcomed her to the team from the first moment that he slapped the back of her head. She loved him like a father, and she knew that he loved her like a daughter.
He was the only man that has made her cry. She was so scared when he couldn't remember the team that she lost it. She tried to remind him of Kate and of Ari, and that was when she broke down. She started crying right there in front of him. Ziva had never broken down in front of anyone in her life until that night.
And that was when Gibbs remembered everything. He took Ziva in his arms and he comforted her, holding her close to him. She had buried her head in his shoulder and lost it. All the emotions from the past year were finally coming out, and it actually felt pretty good.
To know that Gibbs cared about her though soothed Ziva and she knew that she could trust him. Over the years he became her father figure and Gibbs had grown to love her like a daughter. Ziva could go to him when she was upset and he would just pull her into his arms and all her worries would be gone.
Gibbs was probably the most loving person that Ziva would ever meet and she knew that she could go to him for anything.
