Hotch looked at his go bag all ready by the front door waiting for the next call, the next case, and the next plane ride. He looked up the stairs and thought of Haley sleeping upstairs alone. He thought of how he was going to tell her that he had to go on another case when he had just come back from the last one. He thought of how she would have to wake up another morning alone. He hated this, how every time he was called away she was stuck here, alone, and had to care for Jack all by herself. He hated himself for doing that to her and to himself because he is not there to help her take care of their son.

"hey" "hey, what are you doing up so early?" "I have to go" "why?" "Strauss says this case is very urgent and she needs the whole team on it" "oh, do you know when you will be back?" "no" "well you should kiss jack before you go" "alright" Hotch gets up and walks into his sons room and looks down at him and thinks of how Haley is going to tell Jack why daddy isn't here. He gets down to the front door and there he sees Haley still in her sleeping clothes. "don't go" she pleaded " I hate to go but I have to, you know that" She kissed him goodbye and leaned her head on his chest"I'll be waiting". He loved these moments.
Now the time has come to leave you

Dream about the days to come , and I wont have to say
"I have to go now" he said to her. "I know" she whispered looking up at him. "I love you, Aaron and please be safe" " I love you too Haley and I promise that I will get back as soon as I can" He leaned down to kiss her one last time. he grabbed his go bag and went through the front door.
