"Master!" His words called out to me in a ringing echo. His hand retches out to my falling body as if to try to catch me as we fell through the gap of the Everfall, through the clouds as they parted to drop us into the vast open sea. My body was unmoving, silent, and lifeless and yet, I could still observe my dear companion as he dived with me like two stones through the sky. The blade between my breasts glinted brilliantly as the sun's rays graced it's edges; my heart pierced by the brand. Funny, how all this time I've had a goal of reclaiming what was mine to only destroy it in the end. My pawn, my friend, looked helpless as I didn't respond to him. I couldn't imagine what he must of been thinking and I only hoped that I did the right thing. With his fingers just inches from my feet, he had no time to make contact with his partner before we were swallowed by the the currents. There, he fought the sea to reach me as I sunk to the bottom. The blade disintegrated into the water in a black mist and my chest glowed once more. Nero, dear Nero, kicked with all his might until he could finally grasp my shoulders and bring me close, already I was turning as cold as a winter night, my skin turning to a snowflake's coloration. There was a soft warmth as a glow appeared on my chest once more and he could finally see it with the light's radiant; a faint smile across my lips. Before we could break the surface, there was a change in him. With each second he held onto me, I felt my very soul being taken over by a another force. It was familiar, and yet it was different at the same time. Slowly, I allowed it to consume me...

My last thoughts before I vanished from existence were set on my friends, the journey and adventure, the battles, bloodshed and tears. What I... no... what we overcame. What we saw and conquered. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would of had done half the things I have done. A common thief becoming an Arisen... now that was a story to tell...
