The Truth Is
I almost said the words last night
I told myself the moment wasn't right
No one wants to be the one who says it first
But I've been keeping it inside a secret for so long it hurts
Haibara sat there staring or should I say spacing out there at the window. She was thinking of last night's event.
Flashback
It was Conan's birthday celebration. Ai and Conan were alone at the basement because, well because Ai asked him to talk alone. "Haibara, what is it?" Conan asked. "I have the antidote, Kudo-kun." Ai said. 'Hmm…? How should I say it…? In Chinese, Gua Ai Di? No. In Saudi Arabian, Abibi? No. In Korean, Saranghae? No. In Filipino, Mahal Kita? No. In English, I Love You? Nope. Definitely not. In Japanese, Aishiteru? Definitely not!' Ai thought. Conan was too busy in jumping up and down that he didn't notice Ai spacing out. Ai snapped out of her thoughts. "Kudo-kun, here it is." Ai said, handing him the capsule. "Thanks, Haibara!" Conan said. "I want you to know something." Ai said. "What?" "*sigh* Choose first. Choose from numbers 1-6." "1." "Gua Ai-…" But before she could finish that, a picture of Ran and Shinichi flashed in her mind. "What?" Conan said, urging her to continue on. "Never mind…"
End of Flashback
It hurt her. No. It killed her. The feeling of falling in love with the wrong person. It hurt her so much that all the feelings she had bottled up for so long came out of her mouth. Good thing she stopped herself. Why? Because she was afraid. She was scared. She was frightened. She admits she is a coward. She didn't want it to be the first one to say those words. She was a coward and still is.

And I need to know from you if you love me too

Haibara's POV
You said there is one and only truth. Well, I gotta ask you something. What are your true feelings for me, tantei-san? Me, if ever you are going to ask me…I hate you so much! Because… tears were flowing in my cheeks … because… I wiped the tears off my cheek …because you made me fall in love with you!
