Suki's Thoughts
The moonlight sparkles beautifully on the waves as they crash gently on the rocks.
He stands right on the edge of the rock and I'm worried that he'll fall into the water and be swept away from me.
But he doesn't; he's perfectly balanced.
Sokka's staring up at the full moon as it illuminates the sky and I can see from his eyes that he is deep in thought.
He's thinking about her; I just know he is.
Yue, the Moon Spirit, a much more elegant name than my own.
Sometimes, I have to wonder if he still loves her. Sometimes, I have to wonder if maybe I'm just a replacement or if he really has moved on and really is in love with me.
Sokka comes out of his trance and looks at me. Our eyes meet and he seems to read my mind.
Hopping down from the rock, he walks over to me and stands in front of me. He smiles gently and puts his hands on my shoulders.
"Suki, I love you more than anything. And I always will. But Yue played such a big role in my life and in this war, and for the things she has done, I will never forget her. But I've moved on; I'm in love with you now. You are not Yue and I know that. You are Suki, and I never want that to change."
I can feel tears prickling at the back of my eyes as I smile at him.
He pulls me into a hug and I rest my head on his chest.
I kiss his neck and sigh lovingly as we slowly and steadily rock back and forth on the spot.
"I love you too, Sokka."
And I know he knows that I mean it, and I know that he had meant everything that he had said.
Yea, I know that was pretty pointless, but I liked it. It was sweet, was it not? Anyway, review and tell me what you thought.
