a/n: This is just a one shot I had a quick idea for, Civilized Lee got me thinking and I decided to try something out of the ordinary for myself. Enjoy!
A low rumbling sound could be heard in the distance, pebbles danced in place on the ground and the Skag couldn't stop staring. He picked up his paw and put in down on top of the pebbles, he could feel the ground vibrating but the pebbles stopped moving. He lifted his paw again only to see the pebbles return to their dancing. He perked up his ears and cocked his head to the side. Putting his paw down on them again but finding the same result he circled them curiously. Sniff...sniff sniff... WHAM!
Blood splattered on Maya's face as the skag disappeared beneath her wheel. "Wooo! Ha ha! Thats number 3!" She threw her fist in the air.
Lilith sat next to her in the passenger seat of the Bandit Technical bracing herself against the frame, her face contorted into look of pure terror at any thought of what could come next. "Mayaaa! Who taught you how to driiiive!" She yelled over to the driver while never taking her eyes off the terrain whizzing by them. She closed her eyes and braced herself for impact as Maya side swiped a large boulder.
"No one! Ha! No one taught me how to shoot either! I figured it couldn't be much different! You just DO IT!" She cut the wheel hard causing a fourth skag to disappear beneath the vehicle. The hard turn and the skag sent the Technical into a barrel roll.
For a moment all that could be heard from the side winding blur were Lilith's screams and Maya's sheiks of laughter. When the car finally settled in a cloud of dust and sand it was right side up. "Woo! Ready for round 2?!" Maya laughed over at Lilith who was presently peeling herself from the seat ready to never get into a car with Maya again.
"I wonder where we lost Gaige?" Maya looked around the landscape. Gaige had been in the back of the truck when they'd left Sanctuary but somewhere along the way she'd either fallen out or jumped out of her own accord. Maya hadn't noticed when...maybe the second skag? "Hmm, maybe we should go look for her?" She gave the land another scan.
"Lookin' for me?" Gaige came running up behind the vehicle with a large fist full of blue hair. "I catch up quick! Check it out!" She held up her hand as Maya jumped out of the Technical, "I swiped it from the Bullymog we passed back there! Turns out their hair is too strong to pull out from a moving truck so it pulled me out with it!" She took a fighting stance all the while still proudly holding tight to her fist full of hair, "So then...it was just me and him. He beat his chest and I beat mine..." She beat her chest like an ape, "Guess who came out on top! Guess!"
"I'm gonna saaay...You!" Maya lifted up her arm for a high five.
Gaige returned the five "Down low!" Arms continued around and slapped at their waists, "Fist bump!"
"Explosionnnnn!" Maya and Gaige's hands made a mock blow up accompanied by their sound effects.
Gaige nodded her head toward the technical, "She good for another round?"
Maya glanced back at Lilith who had the rear view mirror tilted toward her trying to fix her hair. Maya wiped some blood off her face with her arm doing nothing but smear it. "No, but she's out here now!" Maya smirked and Gaige gave a mischievous giggle, "annd its your turn to drive!"
"Yessss!" Gaige gave a fist pump and jumped in the driver's side while Maya takes her place in the back.
Lilith looked over and moaned.
"Hehehe now for the real fun!" Gaige wiggled her fingers at the steering wheel and smiled over at Lilith "You ain't seen nothin yet!"
Lilith gives another pained sounding moan and Gaige steps on the gas. The Technical speeds away into the dust with Gaige and Maya's laughter trailing behind it.
