Prologue.
I'm not quite sure who I am, but I have been many people, all under one name – Sarah Williams. I have died by fire, by accident and on purpose. I have suicided to have a distraught Goblin King over my face, crying, or holding it inside. I have seen everything, I have been everywhere and I have had the most unusual jobs, from actress to barmaid, writer to litter picker.
Some people hate me, and love him – Jareth, who many people too. He is evil, he is cruel, or he is a sappy idiot that marries me. Either way we are together in this, he and i. Little shadows we are, dancing in your brains, crying out for belief to exist in reality.
Belief is a powerful thing. It can make the impossible... reality.
