okay, the question that has had many different explanations through history, Sonic style

The question threw him completely. Sonic had never expected it from his four year old daughter.

"Daddy, where'd babies like Cap'rum come from?"

Steven, is eldest, had never really asked questions like this. The six year old seemed to know the basic information on anything. And what he didn't, he somehow knew it should be left for when he was older. Probably the hardest question to answer was, 'what supercalifragilisticexpialidocious really meant.'

Sonic turned to Sonamy, "Well, Caprium came from Mummy's tummy. Remember how you'd listen and feel for him?" It had been a year since his birth, maybe she'd forgotten.

"Of course I knew that but Daddy? How'd he get in Mummy's tummy?"

Right then, Sonic silently wished for all his children to have sons to avoid these kind of awkward questions. (A.N. yeah right!)

"No matter what I tell you, remember that me and Mummy love you right?" he didn't want to scar his child for life or something. He took a breath but before he could continue, she spoke up.

"Like I love you and Mummy?"

"Yes."

"And how you love Steve?"

"Of course."

"And how you love Cap'rum?"

'Does she want to know where babies come from or not?!' Sonic thought.

"Yes," He answered.

Sonamy started to tear up, "Do you like Steven and Cap'rum better?" she asked.

"What?!" Sonic knelt down to her eye level, "What makes you say that?"

"Well," sniff "you spend more time feeding and changing Cap'rum." She wiped her nose with the back of her hand. "And you spend more time running with Steven and he gets to play with those ring things." She then started to lightly sob.

"Hey, hey," Sonic grabbed his daughter in an embrace. "Aww, you don't really think that do you?"

His reply was a sniff.

"We only do that with Caprium because he can't feed himself or dress himself nearly as stylish as you. Remember when Mum took you shopping? You got that nice blue and red dress. That's a mother daughter thing only; and you'll understand it one day."

"And running with Steven, he's starting to gain extra power as he gets older and has trouble controlling it. Remember one time he ran so far, so fast, he ended up somewhere it was snowing?" He wiped her tears as she smiled slightly at the memory.

"We made a snowman without you or Mummy."

"Yeah; but as fun as that was, next time Steven could end up anywhere."

"I think I'd miss his jokes" Sonamy said.

"Yeah. Me and Mum will always be proud of you and your brothers and our love for you is equal."

"Tomorrow, can we help Caprium learn to run super fast?"

Sonic put his daughter down, realising something with her last sentence.

"And then we can all go running and when Steven runs off somewhere, I'll be able to show Caprium how to make a snowman."

Wait, rewind. "Did you say Caprium?

"Yeah; Caprium," Sonamy looked at her dad as if he were weird. "Are you sick?" she asked while reaching for his forehead.

"I'm proud of you, you've been trying to pronounce Caprium with the right sounds since he was born. It would seem that all that practice payed off."

"Yeah!" Sonamy gave a large grin, aspects of both parents smiles were mixed in.

"How's about we go and get a special treat for a picnic tomorrow?"

"Something sweet and yummy," she rubbed her stomach, "Let's see how fast we can run!" she told her father happily.

So they ran off, hand in hand, the question that led to all this totally forgotten.

For now.

no I'm not that evil, I probably will only write one more story with Sonamy younger then ten.

and if I get around to it, I'll have some of Sonic's sons, Steven and Caprium. there's a story behind Capriums name but that's for later.
