This is my first fic so please hold the rotten fruit. I understand there might be some misspellings and such, so bare with me. I don't own Supernatural and make no money off this.

The last thing Alec expected to see when surveying the woods behind TC was a big rusted black car, well maybe not the last thing, because being a genetically engineered super soldier, Alec had seen a lot. The car was huge, four doors, old. Years ago this car would have been swooned over, talked about, and taken care of. But now it sits in the middle of a random clearing in some deserted forest behind a forgotten city.

The drivers-side door was wide open; Alec could practically see the drive rushing out of the car, not even stopping to close the door. Alec ran his hand over the hood of the car, deep scratches ran up the front and rust ate away at them. Alec knew he really should get back to work; Max would be pissed, but something about this car, about the people who owned it, loved it, and treasured it, called to him.

Visions assaulted his mind. Memories from a life he never lived. He could see them driving in the car, no a 67 Chevy Impala, driving along forgotten highways and lonely streets. Driving away or towards, together or alone, bloody or healed.

Woo... listen to her purr. Have you ever heard anything so sweet?

Alec desperately wants to meet these men, to know there story. But even he knows men like these, who live in the shadows; they don't leave behind anything you can find.

Sammy is a chubby 12 year old. It's Sam okay.

He'll leave the car here. It's the only memorial for theses guys and he'll be damned if anyone takes that away from them.

You know, we made a hell of a team back there

The papers call Alec a transgenic hero, but these guys, these men who sacrificed everything, they're the real heroes.

Nobody's dying tonight, not us, not that family, nobody. Except that demon. That evil son of a bitch ain't getting any older than tonight, understand me?

The car will rust away until there's nothing left, but Alec will never forget and he hopes that will be enough.

We got work to do.

The End
