In truth, he held a certain amount of respect for Jack Force.

For starters, he was a Blue Blood, social elite, privy to the most secret of societies. He had money, fame, and looks that challenged even Apollo.

Jack Force had also managed to make the girl that he, Oliver Hazard-Perry, was in love with fall in love with him, Jack Force.

She was Schuyler Van Alen, a Blue Blood as well. He was merely her Conduit, fated to serve her from his birth to his death.

Jack had everything that Oliver wanted. He had money, he had good looks, and he didn't necessarily want fame, But Jack had Schuyler, which Oliver would give up everything else to have.

Sure, Oliver would be near Schuyler all his life, as both her conduit and best friend. But Jack had Schuyler in a way that Oliver never could and never would.

Jack would be bonded in a month to his sister, Mimi Force, however. He would be bonded to his soulmate, his other half, his heart's and soul's twin. He would forget about Schuyler, and said girl would be broken. But Oliver would be there, yo pick up the shattered pieces and sew them back together to form a whole, complete Schuyler Van Alen. But on the inside, she would never be the same. She would still be a broken, despondent female pining after something that she couldn't have, never would be able to have. Something that was out of her grasp and impossible to cling to even before it started. She would never be the same. And it was Jack's fault. She would never be the same Schuyler, never be HIS Schuyler ever again. She always would be the broken Schuyler that Jack Force had created. She may look whole, complete, and happy, but on the inside, she was bleak. Cold. Depressed. And always would be.

In truth, Oliver Hazard-Perry respected the very man that he hated with all his might.
