Hey everyone, it's me, your favorite kitty! Meow. Well, I was digging around my flash drive and I found this poem I wrote awhile ago, and it inspired me. This reminds me an awful lot of storm hawks story I'm writing, so I thought I would put it up. Don't get used to this, I'm being hypocritical right now, cuz normally I condemn poetry on a site meant for stories. I don't know why I just do. Anyway, so, here is the setting, Cyclonis gets bored one day and decides to write a poem about her favorite creature. I am putting this up as a poem since there will be very little in terms of story. Enjoy.
An ode to Dragons
Powerful, majestic, serene, and graceful,
All words that describe the dragon.
Creatures of magic and fire,
Creatures of justice and malevolence.
We condemn the dragons for the actions of a few.
As a result of this, they went into hiding.
Slowly, they descended into the past,
They have become creatures of myth.
Waiting for a more accepting world.
I believe that one day,
The dragons will return.
We will once again look into the skies,
Seeing graceful reptiles,
Beautiful and majestic as eagles.
Until that day, I will continue to admire them.
I will sit here and write about their legacy.
Insuring they are not forgotten.
So rest in your haven, Mighty Dragons,
Sleep and dream of your glorius days of yore.
Soon thy wings will grace the skies again
And thy fire will burn brightly as the sun.
Cyclonis put the down her pen and looked outside her window. She thought about her poem and began to imagine dragons flying in the sky. She stood up and went to her throne.
'Yes, the dragons are gone for now, but when I rule the Atmos, they will come back, I know they will. It's only a matter of time." She thought to herself, smiling.
It's only a matter of time.
