Disclaimer: Yeah, yeah. I don't freaking own any of these characters. Who all know how this little speech goes…

The room was quiet and had a rather musty, after-sex, smell to it. Roxas had been lying awake for nearly an hour pondering his thoughts. His redheaded bed partner has long since drifted off though he still had his arms wrapped securely around the small blonde.

But Roxas had to bring up the matter that had been haunting his consciousness at some point, didn't he? What better time then now what Axel most likely wouldn't even recall the potentially embarrassing conversation in the morning.

"Axel?" Roxas muttered his voice slightly hoarse. He got no reply from his companion. "…Axel?" he repeated, slightly louder. He accompanied the name with a soft nudge.

"Hnnn… what is it?" Axel groaned, reluctant to open his eyes.

Roxas began to regret his actions when he heard Axel's negative tone at being woken at such an early hour. But Axel was already at least semi-awake so why waste the opportunity?

"Why do you choose me?" Roxas asked.

Axel's eves cracked open and he turned his head to look at his lover.

"What do you mean?" His tone was slightly warmer, making Roxas feel more comfortable.

"I mean," Roxas began, wrapping an arm over Axel's bare chest. "Out of all of the people who would do almost anything to be with you, why did you choose me over them?"

Axel was now steadily becoming fully awake. His brow furrowed and constricted in confusion.

"I'm sorry. I don't really follow," he said. "I love you, Roxas. Why would I choose anyone else when you are the one that I want to be with?"

Roxas shook his head.

"But I'm so young and inexperienced. You must feel like you're holding back with me. You could be with anyone else and be in your own league.

"I'm not cheating on you…"

Roxas shook his head again.

"No, no, no," he sputtered. "I'm not accusing you of cheating on me. It's just… when you would be with anyone much more desirable and experienced than myself, why would you want to be with me so badly?"

"You've been worrying over this for a while haven't you?"

The young blonde nodded.

"Roxas," Axel sighed. "I don't understand you sometimes. Why would you worry your pretty little head over such a matter as this? And I know you knew me so well by now."

Roxas waited for Axel to gather his words and continue.

"Everything you've been worry about," Axel explained. "None of that matters to me. I don't need someone experienced. I just need someone to be with. That the perfect person for me is you."

All was silent for a moment.

"You're so cheesy," Roxas said with a smile.

"Yeah?" Axel swiftly rolled over and propped himself on top of the smaller boy. "You must remember, you're the one who asked the equally cheesy question in the first place."

Roxas' cheeks became tinted with a light layer of pink.

"I'm sorry to have woken you," he whispered. "You can go back to sleep…"

"But, Roxy!" Axel whined in protest. "I'm finally awake now. Why let this time of privacy without Xemnas breathing down our backs go to waste?"

He leaned down and placed a small peck on Roxas' nose, causing the blonde's blush to spread over his flawless cheeks.

"Axel," Roxas began, his voice still hushed. "Marluxia's room is right next door. What if he hears?"

Axel placed another, slightly rougher, kiss on Roxas' pink lips.

"Then the pansy can take it up with me in the morning.
