Chapter 1:The Lost Dimension

"Watanuki!--" Yuuko whined. "Get me some sake!!--"

"And some for Mokona too!" Mokona chimed in.

"Grrrr!!-- all they do is drink, drink, drink!! Can't they have a glass of water for a change?"

A bell rang from the other side of yuuko's shop and a petite voice called out from the entrance, "Hello? is any one home?" she asked quietly. Yuuko came to the door followed by Mokona and then by Watanuki. "I heard that this was a shop that could grant wishes and I had to see it for myself." she muttered.

"Indeed this is a shop that grants the wishes of its customers, for an appropriate price of course." Yuuko said with a curious look on her face.

"I'll give you however much yen you want as long as you grant my wish" the girl said shyly.

Yuuko smirked and invited the girl in for some tea. As the two of them talked Watanuki struggled to hear their conversation. He glanced around and realized that Maru and Moro were not listening in to Yuuko and the customer as they always do. He figured they must be sleeping in another room.

"Watanuki!--" Yuuko commanded as Watanuki entered the room. "Could you get some more tea for our guest while I go get something in the storeroom?" she asked.

"Yes ma'am" Watanuki said while muttering angry words beneath his breath. As Yuuko and Watanuki left the room and went down the hall and Yuuko was about to go into her storeroom she stopped and looked at Watanuki.

"Remember, Watanuki-- Their is no such thing as coincidence, only hitsuzen (fate). Those who you are bound to you by strong bonds of fate will always stay close beside you, so that you are never alone." she told Watanuki in the utmost seriousness.

"What's with you all of a sudden Yuuko-san?" Watanuki questioned with a confused look.

"Don't worry about it" Yuuko said reassuringly.

When Watanuki returned to the room where the girl was waiting he founder her fainted in her chair, and all around her, he could see loads of black mist pouring from her body taking up the entire room. Watanuki plugged his nose to try and ignore the stench the pure evil presence he felt from the fainted girl. The mist began to gather around the room and take the form of human like bodies dressed from head to toe in black armor with claws like a cats on their hands and bearing a bat like insignia on their chest. They ran towards Watanuki and slashed at him, but with some quick and awkward movements he managed to avoid their onslaught, but he hen realised that the weren't after him. He ran into the storage room and there was no one there. At that instant he heard two simultaneous screams coming from another room. He ran towards the voices to see the black armoured creatures standing in a pool if crimson liquid. He looked beyond them to see the dying bodies of Maru and Moro.

"Watanuki" Maru said softly.

"Watanuki" Moro followed.

"Protect the mistress" they both said on their dying breath. As the life drained from heir pale faces the dimension in which they were began to be disrupted. The barrier around Yuuko's shop vanished and Watanuki ran to Yuukos room. There he saw Yuuko and Mokona sitting the chair, as if they were waiting for something.

"Watanuki, I am sorry but you must leave us now. If he was to see you here the plan would be ruined." she said softly as she held out her hand to him. As she did so Watanuki began to feel faint and his body weak. "Be careful, Watanuki" she said as he fell onto the floor, knocked out cold. The symbol of dimensional transportation appeared beneath his body and it disappeared from the shop.

Yuuko stood from her chair and took Mokona in her hands. "it is time for us to say farewell too Mokona" Yuuko said softly.

"Mokona does not want to leave Yuuko behind, Mokona will remain here to help" Mokona cried as the dimension around them was falling apart.

"I'm sorry Mokona but your purpose has not yet been served, I cannot let you die here." she said as she reached for Mokona's ear. She removed the earring and Mokona instantly fell into a trance. Huge black wings emerged from Mokona as it vanished out of the shop and reappeared in the sky.

As this was happening the door to Yuuko's room swung wide open, and a man entered the room.

"Fei Wong Reed. It has been a while. How have you been?" she asked as she smiled.

"Hmm" the man smirked "It looks like we both had our game plan prepared for this day. So, who will win our little game in the end?" He said smugly

"We shall leave it all to fate to decide." Yuuko said, also bearing a smug look on her face.

Meanwhile Mokona rose above the earth out into space. Suddenly the symbol of dimensional transfer appeared on the surface of the earth and a magical black wind began to swallow the plant Mokona open its mouth wide and swallowed the entire planet and al it inhabitants within itself and then vanished along with it as the dimension they left behind was ripped to shreds and destroyed.
