Chapter 1: Q or not Q
Captain Kathryn Janeway walked onto the bridge.
"Report!" She ordered.
"There is a massive subspace distortion in front of us. We're being pulled in!" Ensign Harry Kim said. "Full reverse thrusters, Mr. Paris." Kathryn ordered.
"Aye Captain." Tom Paris said, tapping at his console.
"No effect." Harry responded. Tuvok interrupted the emergency.
"Captain, we are being hailed from inside the anomaly." Janeway turned toward the main viewer.
"Onscreen." She ordered. A image of a bridge flickered onscreen. Strange. The bridge looked federation.
"I am captain Q." A voice said. Kathryn Janeway stood up.
"Q? Which Q?" She asked the disembodied voice.
"I am the ONLY Q with a identity. My name is Eva." The voice said, now obviously female.
"My ship is called the Luna."
Voyager suddenly lurched to the side.
"The Luna has locked a tractor beam onto us!" Shouted Harry Kim.
"Red alert." Chakotay ordered.
"Can we disrupt it?" Janeway hit her comm badge.
"Janeway to Engineering."
"Torres here Captain."
"Is there a way we can disrupt the tractor beam?"
"I think I can send a feedback surge with the main deflecter."
"Do it." Janeway looked again at the main viewer. The federation ship Luna had morphed into a Klingon Warbird.
"Tuvok..."
"Captain, may I remind you that Captain Eva is Q, and therefore can control matter and energy."
"Yes but still..."
Suddenly a woman with long black hair and bright green eyes appeared on the bridge.
"I amd Eva." She said.
"I am here to evaluate the human race. You have passed the first test. I will test you until I am satisfied, which could last, 10 to 15 years, or until you are destroyed."
