The midnight moon
Full as can be
Above us in the blackened sky
Casting an eerie glow
Upon the forest
Trees casting shadows upon shadows
Children forbidden from walking
Along the darkened path
People hiding behind closed doors
They wouldn't dare show their face
Not with this transformation
Safety is on the outskirts
Another disappointing lie
With nothing between them
Trees rustle on this windless night
Nothing seen but all heard
Howls rip through the silence
Shudders run throughout the town
Six more hours of terror
