Rei: I wrote this like a week ago. I don't know why I did, but I did. O.o The title comes from a song called Ashburn by Yano Maki. I like it. XD This is VERY SHORT.

In Another World-
Normal POV
'It's cold,' was the first thought that came to Kayaki Sora's mind. He never knew what drew him to a place like this, he could only wonder as he stepped onto the plains. The plains themselves were covered in ashes, almost a foot thick in places. There were barely any trees, and in any case, they were long dead; rotted and charred black. There also wasn't any sign of life around, at least from what Sora could tell.
Sora watched dark, powdery snowflakes rain from the sky, which is an iridescent blue. He doesn't understand; how could ashes fall from a blue sky?
It isn't until he sees that man, Axel- the fiery Nobody whose eyes seemed to burn with emotion, lying in the ashes.
Sora's heart leaps- he is so happy to see him that he runs over, only to be greeted with a somber sight.
Axel's beautiful hair- oh, how red it had been! - was now covered in a fine layer of gray. His eyes were closed, and his mouth was relaxed in a peaceful line. Sora screamed and ran over to the black-clad man, and shakes him, cries his name, and even gives him the Kiss of Life.
Sora's lips had lost their virginity and still Axel did not rise.
Sora weeps, holding his head just so that it is above the redhead's own, with his small frame straddling the Nobody's lean body. Thick, pearly tears fall and land upon Axel's tear drop tattoos; and run down his high cheekbones, clearing his face free of the grime, creating gray tear tracks. Axel was never going to move from that spot, and Sora then knew.
He was the blue sky, the haven in which Axel had longed for. Axel's passion for him had always burned with an intensity whenever he had seen him before he had faded- but now the roaring flames had turned into smoldering sparks. Despair and loneliness, overcrowded a vibrant world in which he did not belong, not allowed the love he desired for. So in a last ditch effort to kill the pain, he burnt everything down to the ground, not even sparing the living in this Hell he had been relocated to.
With nothing left, Axel was content to watch the ashes rain down like tears from blue eyes. He had died staring up at that sky, which represented everything that he wanted the most. And now Sora would give that to him.
Lying right next to his chilly body, Sora closes his eyes, and waits for the ashes to bury him. And once it is done, the sky is gray.
Axel's love had returned to him at last.
End of drabble
Rei: That was dark, was it not? And in case you're confused, basically Axel had always loved Sora (and probably to some degree Roxas), and died for him. But he was reborn as he had been before he faded, but in some other world. Not able to stand living without him, Axel gave up and killed himself and everything around him. Sora had somehow traveled to this place, though my guess is that he died and came to the "afterlife" after Axel destroyed it… so yeah. XD; it was like 11 last Monday or something when I wrote this in my binder. Anywho, give me some love. :D Please review!
