Grandfather: Forever

I am trying to find ways to grow up
I do not know them; the path is unclear
I have been lost ever since I was a pup
Aspired things see so out of reach

There was no clear cut path set ahead
You always told me to following my heart
Grandfather be with my always
From your wisdom, I never wish to part

When I was young there were things
Things that I thought I had known
But now in your death, Grandfather
I realize that my wisdom has grown

I realize that I must go alone now
For I am the only one left
Grandfather, I hope you're watching
Because I can't stand to go at it alone

As you watch from the planet's core
Please remember me in your heart
I may have friends; adventures in store
But there will never be an adventure

Like the one you have taught me to live.
