Kyoko sat in the sitting room alone, hungry and tired. She looked up at the clock on the wall, 10:57 pm, and began to accept the fact that Sho might not come home tonight. She gave the door a half-hearted glance and sighed sadly, before walking into the kitchen and warming up the dinner she had planned to share with her prince if he ever came home tonight; he was busy, she knew that, but she still hoped.

With Sho being an idol and all, she knew he could not come home often or stay very long like he used to…

"Maybe he doesn't need you anymore," a small voice in her head whispered softly, "maybe he has something better now…" the voice trailed off into a disquieting silence, leaving Kyoko slightly panicked. What if it was true? She came to Tokyo for Sho, what would she do if her only reason for being here left her? How would she face her mother? What if—No, Kyoko thought, Sho is simply busy with work, after all, an idol's life can't be very easy. After all, Sho had specifically asked Kyoko to accompany him to Tokyo; out of all the other girls who fawned and swooned over him, Sho had chosen Kyoko to lead his new life with, the one he had always wanted to lead.

Kyoko sighed and finished her small dinner –she had left most of it for Sho, in case he came home late after all. Kyoko thought of her life with Sho and smiled sadly, would it really have been so bad to settle down and live a quiet life? She did not think so, but Shotaro could never be happy living that kind of life. As she stood up and began clearing her dishes, Kyoko wondered who Sho's parents deemed a good match for their son.

"She must have been a terrible match, if Sho wanted to escape home so quickly," Kyoko thought, secretly glad for the mystery girl's mismatch with Sho. Kyoko might not have been where she was had it not been for her, whoever she was.

Feeling happier now, knowing she was living a true fairy tale with her prince Sho, Kyoko put away her dishes turned off the light in the kitchen and walked into the sitting room. She glanced at the clock once more, 11:32 PM. No, Sho would not be coming home tonight after all. Kyoko sighed and went to bed.
