Joren watches as they pull her lifeless body from the Chamber of the Ordeal. Her family rushes to her body, her sparrows circling above her, cheeping their sorrow as her dog whines below her. There is only a moment of silence as the observers realise she is dead. He calmly watches as chaos envelopes the room, unaffected by the drama taking place.
Nobody sees the spark of triumph that lights his eyes. Silently, he thanks the Gods for showing the progressives the error of their ways, and prays that the girl has a peaceful journey to the Black God's Realm.
