Taken the long way
Dark realms I went through
I arrived
My vision's so clear
In anger and pain
I left deep wounds behind
But I arrived
Truth might be changed by victory
The dark hall was filled with a dim light. The stout man walked slowly to
his master, wondering how he would be paid for the information he bore.
Beyond the void but deep within me
A swamp of filth exists
A lake it was of crystal beauty
But Arda's spring went by
I've heard the warning
Well curse my name
I'll keep on laughing
No regret
No regret
'They were once my friends, but hey, better them than me right?' Peter
wondered to himself, coming closer to his master's chamber door. He would
not regret what he is doing; it was well worth it after all.
Don't fear the eyes of the dark lord
Morgoth I cried
All hope is gone but I swear revenge
Hear my oath
I will take part in your damned fate
Peter sighed and stood rigid. He understood the mistake he made by joining
Voldemorts ranks. Refusing him would have meant death, but Peter was not
among those brave enough to die for others. He had no life. His life was
for Voldemort, who could easily throw it away like a used rag.
I will always remember their cries
Like a shadow which covers the light
I will always remember the time
But it's past
I cannot turn back the time
(I) don't look back
There's still smoke near the shore
But I arrived
Revenge be mine
Peter remembered all of those times of which he and James spent together.
He had to erase them from his memory. They were his past, his past meant
nothing. Just like his life. Nothing. He had told his master. And he had
gone for the Potters. Peter was there. He heard them. And although he
erased his past, he could never erase these thoughts.
I will take part in your damned fate
Morgoth I cried
It's my oath
So don't fear the eyes
Of the dark lord
Peter remembered what happened. His master was gone. No one was at the
wreckage anymore, well, almost no one. The boy Peter had held once was
crying in the middle of it. Peter transformed into a mouse and ran up to
him, staring at the child he had just orphaned.
Soon you will be free
Set your spirit free
"Suddenly I realized
The prophecies
I've never believed in
My deeds were wrong
I've stained the land
And slain my kin
(Burning Soul)
There's no release from my sins
It hurts
THE CURSE OF FEANOR RUNS LONG
Time and only time will tell us
Tell: was I right or wrong?
When anger breaks through
I'll leave mercy behind"
Than he realized what made his master disappear. The Prophesy he had heard
about so many times before. Had this combined with Lily's strength indeed
make Harry stronger than Voldemort? It was wrong to tell him he knew about
the Potters, now he would surely be sought out by the other death eaters.
I will take part in your damned fate
Morgoth I cried
It's my oath
So don't fear the eyes
Of the dark lord
Peter scurried away, not knowing where to turn. His master was gone, he
would soon be to if the death eaters found him.
I will always remember their cries
Like a shadow they'll cover my life
But I'll also remember mine
(And) after all I'm still alive
Peter kept running as a rat. A guilty conscience weighing him down. Lily
and James's screams, and his mistake.
