MUSIC OF THE NIGHT

These are 3 poems based on the Phantom of the Opera.

The first poem is of the Phantom, the second is Christine´s and the third is Raoul´s

MASK OF THE OPERA

When the final curtain drops

When the theater becomes applause

A sad nightingale sings in the shadows

Who is that mask that hides in the dark?

What is that shape that longs to be loved?

One think is fore sure

No matter how hard he tries

The only thing that mask cannot hide

Is the love in his heart

The love for a girl

Who ran away with another?

And his world was torn apart

Will she return to the one who made her a star?

One day, will she ever think of the Mask of the Opera again?

Will she ever remember?

Her fallen angel waits

In the dark for her embrace

For one last kiss

THE ENCHANTED VIOLIN

Seating by the tree

That sound caught my ear

From a long distance I could hear

The gentle cords

Of The Enchanted Violin

Playing by the sea

With love in it´s heart

Oh, Enchanted Violin

Play One More Time

In my dreams

And in my mind

For once again I´ll dream

With This Song in My Head

CHRISTINE

I will never forget the day

I first met Christine

That strong wind

That carried away her scarf

Oh, beautiful scarf

I saved her for Christine

Darling Christine

I thought I would never come to see her again

Time has passed

Memories forgotten

But that song will be forever

In my mind

And when I heard it once again

Didn't think twice

I ran for her again

Christine

Such a beautiful name

Shall we spend our last days together?

Shaw we walk in the beach by the sunset?

With the waves coming and going

Everyday I dream of

My Darling Christine
