Sand in Unmentionable Places

Kakashi shifted uncomfortably on the sand several yards from the water. He knew that after the number of missions Team 7 had been taking lately they would need and deserve a break. The jounin just wished his young teammates had chosen somewhere other than the beach, maybe the training forests around Konoha. That was Kakashi's idea of a great vacation spot.
He heaved a quiet sigh as he watched Naruto and Sasuke wrestle around in the water not far from where their only female teammate was happily building a sandcastle. With what appeared to be a wedding ceremony, if one considered the scrolls she was using as streamers.
The silver-haired man did a quick calculation of her age before looking at the pink-haired girl in curiosity. Wasn't she a bit old to be building sand weddings so excitedly? Maybe she would marry Gaara someday and have a sand wedding of her very own. Kakashi snorted and then frowned when sand went up his nose.
Kakashi grunted and tried to blow the grit out of his nose without drawing attention to himself. But what he managed to get out only got caught in his mask again. The jounin sighed and shook his head. He'd either have to deal with it or remove his mask to get all the grains out.
He was debating the easiest way to take off his mask without getting caught when he heard a yell followed by a loud splash. Kakashi looked up to see Sasuke smirking triumphantly and Naruto nowhere in sight.
The blond surfaced fifteen feet away from his brunette companion sputtering cuss words as he dragged himself toward the shore.
Naruto plopped down carelessly beside his teacher, grimacing as the sand shifted below his weight.
"Kakashi-sensei?"
"Mm?"
"How do you keep sand out of your mask," Naruto asked, peering at his teacher closely.
"Why?"
"Cause I'll spend the next week picking sand out of my ass… Ah…"
"I see," Kakashi replied knowingly. "You wanna know the secret to getting it out?"
"Yeah," the blond answered excitedly.
Kakashi smiled smugly. "You get someone to help you," he finished with a wink before going back to watching the waves.
"Ne, sensei, really?"
