Anyone remember that old Simpsons episode when Lisa gave Ralph Wiggum a Valentine's card and she told him she didn't like him like that at the Krusty show? When Bart watches the video with her, he says, "Look, you can pinpoint the exact moment his heart breaks." Well, I watched that Simpsons episode, then 'Original Song', and I knew I had to write a Klaine-flavoured twist on it ;)
The Exact Moment
When one walked in upon Wes and David alone with a laptop, it was very rarely ever for a good reason.
"What are you two doing?" he asked, trying to look at the screen. David snapped it shut before he could clearly make out what was happening.
"Watching the video of Blackbird," Wes answered.
"You recorded that?" Kurt asked, gesturing to David to let him see.
"We record all of the Warblers' performances," David answered.
"Even the impromptu ones?" Kurt asked.
Wes and David exchanged a look before answering together, "Especially the impromptu ones."
"Don't do that, it's creepy," Kurt said. "So why are you watching this particular song?"
"We've been focusing on Blaine's face throughout," David informed him.
"You might want to watch it, it's pretty hilarious," Wes continued.
"Why?" The one word was all that Kurt could muster as Wes sat him down and David handed him the laptop.
"Because Blaine always claims to shield his emotions well," David explained.
"Yet in this you can pinpoint the exact moment he realises he's in love with you," Wes continued. Both of them laughed as a flush appeared on Kurt's cheeks and he focused his attention on the armchair upholstery.
"Three, two, one, pause!" Wes exclaimed. David hit the pause button and pointed to Blaine.
"There you go," he said to Kurt. "One minute and eighteen seconds into the performance of Blackbird."
"The exact moment when Blaine Anderson-" Wes began.
"-realised he is in love with Kurt Hummel," David finished.
Kurt was too busy trying to absorb their words and not seem like he was gazing at the frozen face of Blaine to even chide them for being creepy and finishing each other's sentences.
Hehe, I love fanon David and Wes! Too bad they're not like that on the show.
