Hey so I ve been a silent reader among a few of my favorite books fanfiction sections for a while now, and yesterday while bored in my Literary Form and History Class I decided Hey why not write a Cloe & Derek story? So here it is let me know what you think. Should I keep going? And BTW I obviously don t own Darkest Powers otherwise I wouldn t be just a lowly college student and this story will be solely in Derek s POV XXXXX

The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end, causing me to immediately tense and look to Chloe, who was a few yards away on the same roof I was on. She stood there eyes wide filled with terror, hands splayed out beside her. I followed her gaze to empty space, and assumer she was communicating with a ghost. The while wind continued to howl, spitting up dust and pieces of the tiled roof into the air.
Chloe! My yell was barely heard over the train like whistling of the wind.
The second she heard me her attention briefly shift to meet my scared pleading eyes . That split second was all it took. The next thing I knew her body was shoved violently to the right causing her to trip and fumble over her own feet and the ripped up roofing tile. Down she went rolling end over end down the high pitched slant.
My heart stopped in that instant at just the sight of her panicked face and her red hair mixing among her small body as she rolled dangerously away from me. My legs had never moved so fast in my life. It took three agonizing strides to propel me to where she landed. Towards her now limp and battered body lay at an agonizingly unnatural angle against a strained tin chimney. I dropped to me knees grabbing the peak of the roof with one arm while the other reached down and as gently as possible I brought her body into mine. Careful not to let the violent wind whip at her fragile form any longer. She did nothing to you! I bellowed at the world, hoping that the ghost was still there.
