My take on what happens between Emma and Killian after the end of 5x08. I have to occupy myself somehow during this mini-hiatus. The chapters will be short, about a scene per chapter.
"So?" Zelena said from behind him, way too close for his comfort. "What are you gonna do? How will you make her pay? I want to see it!" She whispered that last part into his ear, making him shiver with discomfort.
He couldn't do this now. He couldn't yell at her, he just couldn't right now. He needed to get away, to get somewhere quiet so he could process all this new information in peace. He needed to be alone.
Glaring at Emma who was still frozen in place across from him he said, hardly above a whisper, "I'll be back."
"Well if you're not going to punish her I will," Zelena said, looking excited.
Killian turned to glare at her. "No you don't!" he said. "I will be the one to deal with her."
Zelena's excited smile disappeared and turned into a frown. "Even as a Dark One you're no fun," she said. "But no matter, I have somewhere else to be anyway. I think I've been kept away from my baby long enough."
The wicked witch disappeared into a cloud of green mist, leaving Killian all alone with the defenseless Dark Swan.
"Killian," she said softly, looking at him with pleading eyes. "Please, I-"
"Don't!" he cut her off.
He exited the house without saying another word.
