He bought his way in with a casual charm

we were mistaken when we thought he could do no harm

He watched them all with a villainous smirk

And waited some time before going to work

Yes, he waited some months till his plans were all set

Later, he whispered,

"child didn't you fret,"

And as the boy slept, he let out a chuckle and a grin

He said, "this won't hurt, no, not one little bit"

And so with an almost gentle care

He brushed the back the boy's raven black hair

Then he slipped the boy a very toxic mix

And some morphine as a way to fix

The inevitable pain the potion will bring

And whispered a lullaby his mother used to sing

Next was the girl,

Wrapped in a blanket that mimicked fur

He didn't care for her one way or another

But he didn't wish to harm her,

she who looked so much like her mother

So he quickly poisoned her

And sought a way to lure

And steal his love away

At the break of day

All to mock his rival

And to leave him scrambling for survival

Friends to enemies, it took a bitter turn

And even though his friend did yearn

To fix the wrongs done to them both

This naive friend should lose all hope

As of all his riches he is slowly drained

As red eyed demons demand to be repaid

For the suffering he endured

And finally he felt avenged

As spirit broken and body bent

Jack crawled to him upon his knees

And begged "Vladdie please,"

"My family's been stolen away,

By cruel vicious fate"

"No you fool!" Vlad roared with hate

"This is not a work of fate,

But of my sinner hands,

All along it was my plan,

For you to crawl to on your hands"

As light dawned in Jack's blue eyes

Vladdie whispered his goodbye

With a dagger, silver and sharp

Vladdie tore out Jack's heart

And now for Vlad the battle's won

And this horrid tale is done

A family torn apart

To heal scars 'pon another's heart
