How was someone to survive something that would hunt them all their lives?

Honestly he didn't know

He didn't think any of his friends knew either

They had probably never been in the situations he had been in

Seeing people die in front of him,

knowing it was his fault, knowing he could do nothing to prevent it

He had asked himself time and time again..

How could someone live this way?

He felt empty

Not knowing what to do, where to go..

He was standing in front of the veil again

Watching his godfather fall

Time and time again..

No escape

He wished for something,

anything...

"If it could just stop.."

Lucius watched the man lying in their bed, seeing him trashing beneath the sheets trying to escape yet another dream.

He had hoped the man had finally stopped using silencing charms. He sighed. If Harry would just trust him to take care of him.

He slowly made his way over to the bed and ends the spell, hearing the last few words that Harry muttered in his sleep.

Lucius slowly sits down on the bed and pulls Harry softly towards him, cradling the smaller one against him.

"Wake up 'ry.... it's not real." He whispers softly stroking the hair out of the boy's face. "I'm here now. I'm here."

Lucius settled himself more comfortably, waiting for the boy in his arms to relax.

"I love you 'ry. Never forget that." He whispered before sleep overtook him.

The boy in his arms relaxed, smiling innocently in his sleep.

"Luveyoutoo"
