Artie isn't the kind of person that holds onto grudges, or thinks back on yesterdays with regret. He can't afford to, honestly. He has to focus on right now. On today. On what's in front of him. If he doesn't, then it's entirely possible that he will flounder. That he will be lost.

So, instead, he focuses on the things he can do. On what he can control. Even if it means he is alone. Even if it means each day is a struggle. Artie is determined to do this. To make each day count.

Not many people have gone through what he has. Not many people have had to redefine themselves at eight years old. But he has, and he'll continue to, for as long as it takes.

Each day is something similar, and something altogether different. Today, he'll help Quinn adjust. Because it's the right thing to do.

And because no one else can.

The End.
