AN: This is my first Harry Potter Fanfic and I decided it would be a oneshot. R/R and no flames please!! LJ
Summary: Who knew it would be on such a cold and dreadful day two inseparable lovers finally fell for each other? Lily had never thought this day would exist, but James always knew it in his heart.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or anything in this oneshot except for the plot.
Lily's POV
I love the rain. It's been a unique part of my personality from the day I was born, probably because that day was in May and it was pouring outside. The rain always reminded me of, well, me! I was tiny like them, delicate and fragile. But, there was something else we had in common. I always came down unexpected, and unpredicted, and as fiery as the thunder. It's one of my traits that I actually like about myself. But the thing is, I savior every day the rain would knock on my window, begging me to go outside with it. I would of course agree. But on that day, that particular day, not even the rain would calm me down. Yes, I, Lily Evans, maybe even thanked the rain that day.

James' POV
I hate the rain. It gave me a cold, eerie feeling, how it crept up to me, how it came from the sky, falling hard, crashing to the floor with that odd rhythmic pace,

Never ending, but I knew I would have to face my fears one day. Yes, I, James Potter, just admitted I had a fear, and that fear, was rain. Although on that day, I felt as if rain were the most wonderful thing in the world! Oh how I thanks Mother Nature for the sweet-smelling rain that day. The day I climbed up the Astronomy Tower, looking up at the rain, waiting, as if I thought it would haunt me, but nothing happened. Nothing, except that when I turned, I was the most angelic face I had ever seen.

"Lily?" James asked, looking at her curiously.
"James?" Lily said, sending him the same look.
"What're you doing here?" they asked in unison.
"I come here all the time, James. I've never seen you here before."
"Oh." Was all James could say.
"Are you okay?" James nodded and turned towards the rain.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Lily asked. James nodded once again, but this time, his eyes were fixed on the red-headed beauty.
"It's weird how rain can change you." James whispered. Lily nodded, not getting what he was hinting.
"It makes you feel…different about people." Lily looked up into his hazel eyes, seeing them filled with longing, desire, and passion.
"James…" was the last word Lily muttered before James' lips came closer, filling in the gap between them. The rain continued to pelt down against them, thunder crashing. Lily wrapped her arms around his neck, feeling as if the rain were the cause of this, mirroring James' thoughts, each, having the same opinion for the rain.
