Over the Rainbow

Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon. Bandai, Saban, and Toei do. I don't own the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow either. If you thought for a second that I owned either you have rocks in your head. That takes care of all the legal issues. Enjoy!
Somewhere
Over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a
Land that I've dreamed of
Once in a lullaby
I watched my brother slowly drift upward. He was going back to the Digiworld. So was Koromon. My brother was following him, just as I wanted to. But he said I was too young. Even though I've grown up a lot from the last time Koromon came, so long ago. We both stood at the side of the rift then, wishing we could follow. I still do.
I rose slowly upward, looking at the home I was leaving for a second time. I didn't want to, but I couldn't leave my friends still stuck there. I envied Kari for staying home, having a bed instead of dirt, having food beside fish and fruit, not worrying about whether she would die the next day. I was homesick already.
Somewhere
Over the rainbow
Hearts are true
And the
Dreams that you dare to
Dream really do come true
I missed Tai already. My older brother was one of the few true friends I had. Most of the people at school dismissively called me the girl who sees monsters. Despite the destructive power they had, I really wished that they were more than the phantoms I alone could see. Maybe one of them could be my friend.
I needed to go. My friends were counting on me. Agumon needed me to digivolve, and he couldn't defeat evil without doing so. But that didn't stop me from wanting to stay. Maybe one day we will conquer evil, though, and be able to finally return.
Someday I'll wish
Upon a star
And wake up where
The clouds are far
Behind me
I really wanted to go. I wanted to know what this strange place the Digiworld was like.
I really wanted to stay. I wanted to be back home and watch TV unburdened by problems.
Maybe I'll be there someday.
Where snowflakes fall
Like lemon drops
Away above
The chimney tops
That's where you'll
Find me
I think I will.
Somewhere
Over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly
Over the rainbow
Why
Oh why
Can't I?
