Chapter 1: The Calls

This was it. It was official. I was officially a Twilight star. I got the call from my manager saying I am going to play the part of Bella Swan. Wait…you know nothing about me, do you? Let me get you up to speed.

My name is Amber Meester. Before you ask…yes I am related to Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester. She happens to be my older sister. I am 20 years old and have been acting since I was 12. I'm pretty boring right? So let's move on. Back to me becoming a cast member of Twilight.

Where was I…oh yeah, the part where my manager called. So my manager Jen called and told me I was going to play Bella. I was in me and my best friend Ashley Green's apartment. We were talking about random things and laughing at things even if they weren't funny. All of a sudden my cell rings and stops our laughing fiasco.

"Hello?" I answer it after about 3 rings. I was too lazy to pick it up.

"Hey Amber, its Jen"

"Hey Jen, what's up?" I put the phone on speaker because I was too lazy to hold. As you can see I'm a really lazy person.

"Hey Jen!" Ashley yells, practically shattering my eardrum.

Jen laughs. "Hey Ashley, so Am, I called to tell you I have some good news." She says sounding super excited trying to hide it but failing horrible.

"Really? What's the good news?" I asked becoming very interested in the phone call.

"Well, you remember that audition that you did a couple of months ago?"

"Yeah, the one to play Bella in that Twilight movie, right?"

"That's the one. Well, I got a call from the director Catherine Hardwicke, and she said that you were so good when you auditioned and that she would love to have you play Bella Swan."

"Really?!" Ashley's phone rings and she leaves the room to take it.

"Yeah. She also told me that the Twilight author, Stephenie Meyers said that you were exactly the visual that she had of Bella."

"That's so awesome!"

"That's all I wanted to call about. So, congratulations and I'll call you later with more details about the airlines and everything. Ok?

"Alright, thanks Jen"

"No problem, Anna. TTYL"

"See ya, Jen" I hang up the phone and just sit there taking in the information I just got from Jen.

After sitting there for what seemed like hours, I decide to call Leighton. After 4 rings she picks up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Leigh, its Amber"

"Hey Am, what's up?"

"Nothing much, just wanted to call and tell you that I got the part of Bella Swan in the Twilight movie"

"No way! Really?!" She screams. I move the phone away from my ear a little.

"Yeah, Jen just called and told me"

"Wow. Congratulations"

"Thanks. I was so nervous at the auditions. I didn't think I was going to land the part"

"Well you did and I'm happy for you"

"Thanks sis"

"I got to go now. Have to go shoot scenes for Gossip Girl. But I'll call later and we can talk then, ok?"

"Alright, see ya Leighton"

"Bye Amber" I hang up my cell. At the same time I do that Ashley comes in with the biggest smile on her face.

"What are you smiling about? Did you finally get a boyfriend?" I start laughing hysterically.

"No. But you are now looking at the one and only Alice Cullen in the new Twilight movie"

"Oh my god! No way! Are you serious?!"

"Serious as can be"

"This is gonna be so fun now that we're both going to be on set"

"Yeah it is"

I get off the couch and start heading to my room. "I'm going to go pack"

"I'm right behind you"
