HAI!! This story takes place in the movie!verse and it is about my favorite character besides Kai and Lloyd and Cole and Zane a- okaaayyy so I like most of the characters xD but this is about the male cheerleader Chen.

He is an extremelly underdeveloped character and I figured "Hey, why not write a backstory on him?"

If you haven't seen the movie, Chen is a cheerleader who bullies and mocks Lloyd and his friends. I figure every bully has a reason they are the way they are, so why the hella shouldn't I write a backstory on him xD

That was overly explained, but HERE WE ARE!!!! This is written in Chen's POV. ENJOYYYY

Prolouge~

Today is January 17th, 2006. It is my 6th birthday. My sister Jessalee and brother Sam are out all day practicing for their ice dance competition. My dad is busy with one of his sports teams and mom is with him. My younger sisters are at a group sleepover, so I'm home alone. Before she left, Jessalee gave me this journal and told me to write in it. So here I am.

A bit about myself: My family is rich thanks to my father and older sister doing so many different professional sports. I'm the middle child of 7, but not for long. My mom is having a baby, so soon the family will be evened out again.

I have an older brother named Samuel. He is 13 years old. He is a brunette like me. We aren't that close but if anything, he's really close to my older sister.

My older sister's name is Jessalee. She is 15 years old. She is a blonde and she is amazing at everything she does. She is a cheerleader, actress, football player, hockey player, volleyball player, soccer coach, basketball player, gymnast, tennis player, ice dancer, figure skater, and some other stuff I can never keep track of.

My father is a lot like Jessalee; he does everything. His name is Alexander. He has brown hair and blue eyes, just like Sam and me.

My mother's name is Stella. She is a blonde with green eyes. She is very pale, like... inhumanly pale. I'm not entirely sure what she does for a living.

My younger sisters are triplets. Their names are Sarah, Kara, and Meghan. They all look like mini versions of my mother.

Then theres me. I am Chen. I'm a brunette and I have brown eyes, very tan skin, and lots and lots of FRECKLESS!!!

Everyone in my family is so good at what they do. They all do some kind of sport or something significant. All I can do is watch them. I mean, I CAN draw. And I'm fluent in Spanish.

My family immigrated to Ninjago from Puerto Rico when I was 4. I have been living in Ninjago for barely 2 years. English is my second language and I am not yet good at it. I can write it very well, but cannot speak it. The best English speaker in my family is Jessalee. She had a lot of American friends when we lived in Puerto Rico, so she has had a lot of practice.

Around the household, we rarely speak Spanish. We are trying to become accustomed to speaking English, which is part of why I am writing this journal in English.

Mom and Dad say I have to start school soon. It'll be odd, because I will be starting at the end of winter break. That's in 1 week. They wanted to wait until I had become a bit better at speaking English. Just in case I didn't understand, I would have a Spanish teaching aid with me. It would be embarassing, but I guess I can live wth it.

My family lives in a mansion not far from Ninjago City. It's in a very rich community. Not many people live here and there's no one here my age. That's okay, though. I've always been antisocial.
