This is a scene that I thought of after Chapter 3 of "Because You're Mine" by Ms. Padfoot. Between all of the books and fanfics that I have read, I have yet to see a scene like this.
Petunia and Lily grew up with Snape. I always thought that this was something that only Snape could, and should, say because of that.
Why?
"Why did you do this? Why did you allow this to happen? Why didn't you stop your husband from physically harming your Sister's son? Why did you allow your son to harm Harry?" Severus Snape asked Petunia Dursley, "The three of us grew up together. The fact that you didn't like me and that you were jealous of Lily is no reason for standing by and allowing Harry to be harmed.
"If something had happened to the both of you, Lily would have taken care of Dudley and raised him as if he were her own son. Why didn't you do the same with Harry?
"If you needed help, if you needed anything, all you needed to do was contact me. I would have helped for Lily's sake, if not for yours. You knew this.
"Harry is fighting for his life right now because of YOUR actions."
Severus Snap dropped a book on the table in front of Petunia. "I brought you this to help you remember Lily. Maybe it will bring back some of your humanity." Snape turned around and walked out the door, slamming hit behind him.
Petunia slowly reached for the book and opened it. She saw pictures of Lily and her friends smiling and waving at her. She laid her head down on the table and cried.
