A/N: This is a very short one-shot.

Lifeless and limp, she sat on the stone stoop like a bump on log. She blankly gazed at the leaves dancing softly in the whispering warm breeze. Sunlight peered through the trees and sizzled her skin. Sweat clung to the nape her neck where her skin peaked through her hair and strappy clothing. At a staggering 92 degrees, it was an unusually hot day in Toronto and the bareness of the alley where Paige currently sat only made it that much hotter. The temperature and sweltering heat didn't matter; it could have been the hottest day in the Sahara and she still would not have felt a thing.

What has gotten Degrassi Community School's reigning Queen Bee down? As of five minutes ago, Paige had become eligible to change her myspace status back to single. This feeling was foreign to Paige. In her other relationships, she had either been the dumper or the two had grown so far apart that it didn't even matter. But, this? This she had not seen coming. She felt as if a garbage truck just unloaded a heaping stack of bricks onto her heart and most importantly, onto her ego. Not just a regular ton of bricks, oh no, these were the badly formed, jagged edged bricks- the kind that can pierce your soul.

Paige Michalchuk, the dumpee.

I think we should do our own thing for awhile. The words replayed in her head. In the past five minutes, Paige had mentally relieved the scenario about seven hundred times.

"I think we should do our own thing for awhile."

We have been doing our own thing! She thought. For months they had been sneaking around, meeting in this very same alley, lying to family and friends about their recent closeness. This was complete bullsht.

"What?" Paige questioned. They were supposed to meet back here to have some alone time before lunch period ended, not dub this as the scene of Paige's next failed relationship.

"Paige, it wasn't like this was apart of your ten year plan."

"I put my entire reputation on the line for you." Paige replied.

"I never asked you to."

"For three months I lived in fear of being exposed as some closet lesbian just to be dumped…. by you?" Paige spewed the venomous words from her mouth. She watched her lover's chocolate eyes widen and expression change from somewhat compassionate to shock. iYep/i Paige internally thanked herself. iStill got it. /i

"So glad you're not into labels, Paige."

"What I meant by that was…" Paige started, but Alex cut her off quickly.

"Look, I think we should do our own thing. Wouldn't want you to 'live in fear.' " Alex didn't stick around long enough for her to reply.

And so Paige sat stunned. Another relationship down the drain. She had been dumped. Tossed out like a Christmas tree on December 26th. She shook her head and let out a dry chuckle. The scenario was laugh worthy, really. Paige Michalchuk- the number one Alpha female at Degrassi had been dumped for the second time this school year.

Not only dumped, dumped by a girl.
