The marauders had had a very boring day. School still hadn't started for the boys at Hogwarts and they had a very lazy, to say the least, summer. Lily's neighbors had given the boys the idea. The neighbors were 15-year-old muggles that went to a high school in the area. The boys had nothing better to do... Why not try out a muggle school for awhile?

"Oh... This is exciting...!" Sirius said hyperly for the fourth time in the last 20 minutes.

"Padfoot... We are waiting in the rain for a big yellow bus to pick us up. It is not exciting yet." Remus said. he was quite annoyed of his friend already.

"Your point would be what exactly...?" Sirius said.

"Why in the hell are you so hyper?" Remus was still a little ticked at being woken up at 6:30 to get ready for the bus. It was only a few nights past the full mooon and he was still tired. The others would be but they always sleep in until noon or even one sometimes. They are lazy in the mornings.

"Aww... Lay off Moony... We're all tired but you don't have to get cranky. And to answer the question... Padfoot is always hyper. Why should today be any different?" James had finally decided to step into this conversation even though it seemed it was going no where.

Peter had remaind quiet since he had been woken up an hour ago.

"Oh thank god. The bus is coming." Remus said reluctantly.

The bus drove down the two block long street. The bus had only a few seats empty in the back where the other high schoolers sat telling eachother stories they had heard Larry the Cable Guy or Jeff Foxworthy or Ron White or Bill Engval telling. Sirius and James were listening intently, Remus was reading, and Peter was just staring out of the window.

"You might be a redneck if..." Started one of the high schoolers named Brian. He seemed to be the leader. As he finished the joke, most of the other students laughed.

It took 20 minutes to get to the high school. The bus drove into the parking lot (Thankfully without crashing if you know my bus driver!) and stopped a few feet from the side walk leading to the building. All the high schoolers were getting off the bus so the marauders followed. They walked to the front doors to be greeted by a few of the teachers. One of the teachers called the "new students" over to her.

"Hello. I am Mrs. Gloshen." The teacher told them. "Are you boys new here?"

"Yes professor." James said to Mrs. Gloshen.

"I'm not a professor but thank you for the compliment Mr...?"

"Oh... Sorry. I am James Potter, this is Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew." James told the staring teacher. She had read all the Harry Potter books and loved them. She was a tad surprised that the famous marauders would be attending her school in the tiny town of Carl Junction. What surprised her even more was the fact that the marauders were from England and she was in Missouri in the United States. Oh well...

"Well boys...Go on inside and I hope I see you all in my class. Have a nice day."

The boys went inside to look around the room they were being directed to. A cafeteria with lots of students in it.

"Sirius! James! Remus! Peter." Shouted one student sitting in one of the front tabled with her friends. The boys walked over to the table and sat down next to her.

"Do we know you?" Peter asked.

"I don't believe so but I know you. My name is Kirstie (Ginger Paws 14, me!). I rode the bus with you this morning. Chris drives like a maniac doesn't she?" Kirstie said chuckling at her insult to her bus driver.

"Ohh... I remember you..." Sirius said to Kirstie. "Moony sat next to you... you were reading too."

"Thats right Padfoot." Kirstie told him.

"Wait... You know our nicknames?" James asked suddenly.

"Of course she does. And so do I." This was the girl sitting next to Kirstie. Her name was Heidi (Purrfection67).

"Who are you?" This was getting to be too much for Peter. His little brain was confuesed.

"I'm Heidi. This is Zack, Shayla, and Brad." Heidi pointed to the other three people sitting at the table that had been previously staring at their favorite fictional characters. Each of them said hi in turn after they had recovered from momentary shock. At once there was a horrible high pitched ringing. All the kids were hurring out of the cafeteria.

"Do you boys want to come to my classes with me?" Asked Kirstie quickly.

"Sure. We don't have anywhere else to go." One of them said in the all the noise. Kirstie hurried off toward the front doors again and the boys all followed. She ended up by a tall silver thing with a muggle combination lock built in. A locker Kirstie told them.

"Did you bring anything like pencil, pen, or paper?"

"Huh?" Now James was confuesed.

"Oh sorry... quill or parchement."

"Yes... but it seems you don't use them huh?" Remus said.

"No we don't use them... Want to borrow one of my notbooks and pens?"

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Sirius was excited again. Kirstie handed each of them a notbook and a pen and a pencil. She grabbed her notebooks she needed for classes and shut her locker and started walking back to the cafeteria.

"We are going to Ag. Science. Otay? It's my first class on red days. Keep up Peter." Kirstie yelled over her shoulder.
