After the Annihilation Wave and the worldwide broadcast of Magneto's death the Earth struggled to rebuild. Superhero groups sought to replace their lost members in order to continue to protect and rebuild their world. Anti-mutant sentiment was at an all time high and the fourth version of sentinels patrolled America freely. Mutants were given two choices, register or be hunted.
Arthur Curry returned to Atlantis with his wife Namera and daughter, Namorita. After the death of his older, half brother, Roman, he was the ruler of the undersea kingdom. The problems of those on land were no longer his problems.
After leaving Magneto's mutant haven, Apollo and those who came with him were exiles from society. They were forced to live underground and in abandoned areas where there were few people and sentinels. They lived like this for weeks, until they were approached by a man Ray had never thought to see again.
