"I'm afraid, Ernie." Justin admitted quietly, wringing his hands together nervously as he watched the other boy attempt to comb his thick hair to the side. "You know how uncomfortable I am at these events-"

"Don't worry, Justin." Ernie flashed a smile in the mirror to the other Hufflepuff as he moved from his hair to his robe. "Everything'll be fine, you're going to the Yule Ball with Susan, I'm going with Hannah, it's just be hanging out with more people, dancing, and probably spiked punch bowls."

Justin sighed and stopped twisting his hands to sit down on his bed. "Yeah, but-"

"No buts." Ernie stalked across the room and pressed his fingers to the other's lips.

"Perhaps I have to punish you for thinking like this?" Ernie teased lightly. "I'm thinking I will, you, me, a bed, and some Honeydukes. You in?"

Justin was bright red when he wrenched the brown haired boy's fingers off his face. "Was that your attempt at flirting with me?"

"I dunno, did it work?"

Justin shook his head and smiled warmly. "You're going to have to work on your flirting if you're going to date me, Ernie."

"So yes?"

Justin pushed a bang that flew into his eyes away from his face, and nodded. "Yes."
