Spanish Lesson
"And you have three subjects, Yo, tú, and él." Bella explained, patiently as Edward looked at her with boredom written on his face. "Those have plurals too, which are nosotros, vosotros or ustedes and ellos."
Edward yawned and nodded. Spanish was highly boring, and it wasn't his fault to have gone badly on his last exam. It was a hard one, and that Mrs. Gonzáles had something personal with him, he was sure of that.
Bella sighed. "Okay let's start a new lesson. I'll throw you words and you'll repeat them in Spanish." Edward nodded, still highly bored.
"Coffee."
"Café."
"Good, Cell-phone."
"Celular."
"Great, Fan."
"Ventilador."
"Well done. Hm… I know. Kiss."
"Beso." He grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. Bella rolled her eyes.
"We'll do phrases next."
"I want to drink some coffee."
"Quiero beber un poco de café."
"Great. Have you seen my cell-phone?"
"Has mirado… mi celular?"
She shook her head. "Mirado no, Visto."
"Oh, right. Next one."
She sighed. "Turn off the fan, I'm a little cold."
"Apagar el ventilador, tengo frío."
"Well yeah, kind of. You just used a wrong tense. Apagar no, Apaga."
"Oh." He yawned.
She grinned. "Ok. Next one."
"Shoot."
"I want you to kiss me."
He yawned again. "Quiero que me beses."
Bella grinned and leaned forward. Edward's breath hitched as he looked at her. Suddenly, she crashed her lips to his, tugging his hair lightly with one of her hands. It was a superficial but meaningful kiss, and he was ready to deepen it when she pulled away.
Edward was fully awake now, his breath staggered.
"What was that?"
She grinned and stated, matter-of-factly,
"You said you wanted me to kiss you."
His eyes sparkled, as he chuckled and nodded.
"I guess I did."
She grinned widely and her eyes shimmered the same way. "Okay. Next lesson…"
Well, guess learning Spanish wasn't so bad when your girlfriend was your tutor...
