This episode killed me, I seriously think I may have damaged something from laughing! Anyway, double drabble of the one sided Dean/Cas variety because I just can't leave any Dean/Cas moment alone. Should probably focus on how mad Cas still is with Sam, but never mind.
Disclaimer: I checked, I didn't get the boys for my birthday so I am merely borrowing them for my own angsty purpose, I'll give them back when I've played with the Cas figurine a little more (who else wants one of those by the way?)
To Have And To Hold.
Dean has been wanting to hold Cas for a while now, although he will never admit to anyone that he has had that thought. He is not sure how long he has wanted it, it being one of those things that sort of slips in through the cracks and takes hold when you are not paying all that much attention, he just knows that he does.
So when he takes Castiel into his hands he has to admit that he has gotten an aspect of what he wanted, he is holding the angel. His only thought is that this is not the way that he meant it.
He will worry about that thought later, when Jesse has turned Cas back into a walking, talking, man sized angel again. For now, however, the figurine can sit on the mantle piece where he can see it and he can start to persuade Jesse to go with them.
Once that is sorted, he and Cas are going to have some serious words, and who knows, maybe Dean will get to hold him after all.
