Hi, I'm Sunny. There's something really cool you should probably know about me. I have wings. There are others like me. I was born in Florida, but I was stolen as a baby and taken to a secret lab in Death Valley, California. From there, I was shipped off to France, England, and France again. Of course, the government doesn't know about it, or they would've stopped it.
I have a brother, Fang, and I just find out about him, Maximum Ride, Iggy, Gasman, and Nudge. I knew about Angel, though. They forced me to go back to California so the others could "study" me. Angel was there, and now we're pretty good friends. Sadly, we never get to keep in touch. That's why I'm going to visit them and give Max a package her mom sent.
"Hey Liz, what are our coordinates?" I asked. Lisabeth is my best friend. She's 26, but I don't really care. She busted me out of that horrible place. "We should be there in about 5 minutes," Liz called back. 5 minutes????!!!!!! What? The butterflies in my stomach seemed to flutter around wildly.
Dewey, my cat, meowed sympathetically. I named him after a Dewey on a book I saw, because he looks just like the cat on the cover. Maybe I'll get to read that book someday. He always knows what I'm thinking. He'll be able to talk soon, after I give him a shot when Max lets me joins the flock. Yeah, I know that Max will let me join the flock. That's another cool thing about me. I can see the future. I have buttloads of other abilities too, but I'll tell you about that later.
Angel and the others should be hearing our helicopter by now. I hope Angel reads my thoughts and tells Max not to worry, I thought unhappily. "Sunny, I see them," the pilot yelled over the helicopter's propellers, "Uh oh, you're going to have to do something about that." I looked out, and sure enough, they were already flying away. Oh snap.
Angel, I screamed in my mind, it's me, Sunny! Please don't go! Soon Angel stopped, than the whole flock came to a halt. I could tell Angel was reasoning with them. They all dropped down to the ground, and the copter landed.
I lightly sprang out, and Angel ran into my arms. "Angel, oh my gosh, I missed you so much," I cried. "I missed you too," Angel said. The rest of the flock was slowly creeping up. "Come on, you guys, Sunny's not gonna bite." Angel said patiently. "Eeewww, why is there a cat here?" a little Scottie asked. Just Total. "Oh, hi Total," I said. "Aaaagh," Total screamed, "How do you know my name?" I frowned at him.
"Sunny, this is Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, and Gazzy," Angel pointed to each of them in turn. I held the package out to Max. "What's in here?" she asked suspiciously. "Cellular telephones, your mom sent them with me," I said. Liz came out of the helicopter.
"I just came to say hi to Angel and give you that, sooo, I guess I'll be going now." "Wait, how did you find us?" Max looked worried. "The chip in your arm," I said serenely. "But, I thought they took it out," Max was panicking. "It's still there," I said slowly, "See?" I dug in my super-deep pockets for a little bit, found the tracking device, then showed it to Max. "See, there's you guys, and me."
Max looked absolutely terrified. "Bye Angel," I said, backing away. "I wish you could stay," she sighed glumly, "Can she stay Max? Please?" Angel made big, sad, puppy-dog eyes. "Why do you look so much like Fang?" Gazzy asked. "She's Fang's sister." "Oh," Gazzy said.
"Sure, I guess she can stay," Max said. "Bye Liz," "I am calling every day to check on you." She hugged me. "Overprotective," I muttered under my breath. As soon as the helicopter took off, Angel grabbed my hand, pulling me away.
