Summary – Pirika falls and Ren catches her. Oneshot. RenPiri. Please read and review!
Fallen
She had fallen for him. Literally.
It had started out as an innocent swing alone, just Pirika in the playground. She swung higher and higher, the wind blowing her silky blue hair into her eyes. The chains creaked with each swing she made.
"Man, they should fix these," she muttered, as she brushed a strand of hair away from her eyes.
Meanwhile, Ren was busy escaping from his fan girls. He had dressed up as a woman this time, but apparently, it had not prevented his fan girls from recognizing him and chasing him all over town.
Ren had neared the playground Pirika was in. He saw her on the swings and was about to call to her when he saw his fan girls nearing with every second. Hurriedly, he dived into the bushes behind her.
Peeking out from a new-found peephole in the bushes, Ren saw his fan girls turn their heads a three hundred and sixty degrees in an effort to find him. They saw Pirika and questioned her, but she replied thatshe did not see any purple haired boy pass by.
After what seemed like eternity, Ren's fan girls finally left. Ren heaved a sigh of relief as he thought,"They finally left… Gods, what do they see in me anyway… I must give them credit for the fact that they run fast though."
Ren was about to imform Pirika about his presence now, but he stopped short, mesmerized by her graceful movements. As Pirika's hands were tired from gripping the chains, she loosened her grip a little.
Unfortunately, (or fortunately, whichever you choose), as her palms were sweaty, her grip on the chains slipped and she fell backwards. Right onto Ren.
Pirika shrieked as she fell, but stopped she felt a warm pair of hands holding her shoulders. She turned her head backwards and saw… Ren.
"Thanks Ren." Ren nodded, motioning for her to stand up. Pirika did, or at least tried to. Her ankle was hurting and as soon as she tried to stand, she fell back on top of Ren.
"Ren?" Pirika asked sheepishly, pointing towards her ankle. "Do you think you could help me?"
Ren smirked, giving her a the-haughty-Ainu-finally-stoops-so-low-to-ask-for-help look. He pushed her off him, then squatted down, putting one hand under her knees and the other under her back.
He stood up, and Pirika put her arms around his neck. He stiffened for a moment, and relaxed. Pirika buried her face into his chest and promptly fell asleep. Ren then started the long journey home.
Ren looked at the sleeping Ainu and smiled to himself. He knew he had long fallen for her. He did not know what would happen in the future, what his parents, his sister and their friends would think, and he did not care. All that matters is now…
