Zack knocked on the apartment door, calling out as he tentatively entered the room.

"Angeal? You in here?"

Silence answered his question. Giving a slight 'humph' of annoyance, Zack walked through the apartment, searching for some clue of where his mentor may have gone. There was nothing. No clues. Only an illuminated computer screen.

Glancing left and right, Zack hesitated then bolted over to the computer. He sat on the chair and fixed his eyes on the screen, before the chair rotated.

"Woah!" he cried out, before realising it was a 'wheelie chair'. Smiling happily to himself, Zack spun several more times.

Pulling himself back to his original intentions, Zack examined the computer screen. His eyes widened and an impish grin found its way onto his face.

This was Sephiroth's computer.

He could tell this due to the oh-so-impressive and somewhat self-exalting image of Sephiroth in all his glory, as the wallpaper.

Zack sat there for a moment, admiring the picture.

A soft buzzing noise invaded his ear canal.

Flipping a hand absent-mindedly at it, Zack paid the small insect attention. It flew away, before coming back, this time to the other ear. He frowned and shooed the bug away once more.

Seeming to enjoy irritating the young SOLDIER, the creature came back for more. It buzzed and zipped around his head quite determinedly. Zack pushed back from the computer, flapping his hands as though he was a girl in a pathetic cat fight. Small, frustrated squeaks emitted from his mouth.

Then the bug landed.

Without a second thought, Zack lashed his hand out and struck his enemy down! The body crushed as blood and guts smeared over the battlefield. Zack raised his hands in victory. His foe was defeated!

It took him a moment longer to realise exactly what the battlefield had been. When this information finally sunk in, Zack sat there with an 'oops' expression on his face.

The computer screen had an unseemly mixture of red and yellow blood and guts splattered across it, combined with a black fragment of bug body parts here and there.

"Uh oh..." Zack muttered. Reaching out, he wiped the screen to remove all evidence of his glorious battle.

The stain merely smeared, refusing to come away from the screen.

Pursing his lips, Zack wiped again in the opposite direction. Still, no luck. Getting frustrated once more, he became vigorous in his attempts to defeat this new enemy! Yet no matter what he did, the stains only got worse and worse, more widespread.

How was he going to explain this to Sephiroth?

Maybe he didn't have to. He could just leave now and hope Sephiroth never noticed! After all, it wasn't that bad! Really!

Zack sat back and took another look at the mess, to reaffirm this thought line. Whatever traces of a smile were left on his face evaporated instantly.

With the new smudges and bug guts on the screen, the proud image of Sephiroth now seemed to have a wispy moustache, hair growing upwards out of his ears and something akin to a frilly neck bow. And was that a glob of snot dripping down, or bug guts?

"Zack? What are you doing?"

"Eep!" The young SOLDIER shot to his feet faster than ever before and bolted out the door. "I'msorryit'snotmyfaultitwouldn'tcomeoffIswear!!!!!!!!"

His suspicions now raised to exponential heights, the First Class General tentatively approached his computer, fearing the worst. A cracked screen, destroyed data, something like that.

What he was met with was not what he expected.

"ZZZAAACCCKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
