Hello everyone!
I was rewatching Fairy Tail and I got this cute idea for a fic and I decided to use one of my oldest OCs for it. Hopefully it's going to be super fun to read!

When my eyes opened, I could only see the dark. It was still early in the morning, waaay early than the time I usually woke up. I sighed before I pushed the blanket off my bed and got up, releasing a yawn.
Today was just another normal day at the guild. At least, I hoped it would be. I didn't want to have another bad confrontation with a certain lightning mage again. Laxus Dreyar, once my best friend, was the single most annoying (yet very caring) person on the planet.
Laxus and Lucianne. There was a time when our names were constantly spoken together. We were close or at least, we had been till his father got excommunicated and his attitude completely flipped. He became self centered, arrogant and so damn rude.
I bore with this new attitude of his as long as I could. But then he said some really mean things about me; if I thought about them at present, they still made me cry. And I'm not a crier.
Now, ever since his return to the guild and post the Grand Magic Games, I had been trying to avoid him and I had been successful except for that one time where I almost face planted on the second floor as I grabbed a request from the S-Class board and he had been the one to catch me. The awkwardness of that situation had been enough for me to make me run away in embarrassment.
I slowly walked to the bathroom to take a shower. I sighed and released a soft breath. Lucianne Hart, you can do this. It's another day. Just stay on the ground floor at the bar and you wouldn't have to face Laxus anymore.

At the guild, I sat at the bar with Mirajane, chatting happily with her about random stuff as the guild did their usual thing.
"So, how's you and Laxus?" Mirajane asked slyly. I spluttered and my face turned red. For some reason, Mira believed that Laxus and I loved each other which was not true at all.
"Mira!" I hissed at her, gently tapping her palm as she took away the empty glass in front of me. "There's nothing between us and you know that's true."
"Says you," She drawled. "You guys would definitely be cute together. And besides you were childhood friends, there's gotta be some chemistry there."
"There's nothing between us!" I stated in exasperation. Just then Lucy joined us, sitting at the bar.
"Nothing between who?" She asked. Mirajane smiled at her and greeted her before she turned away to make Lucy's usual milkshake.
"Mirajane seems to think that there is something between me and Laxus," I said with a scowl. The very prospect of me loving Laxus was worth throwing up. "When there is absolutely nothing between us."
"There isn't?" Lucy sounded surprised. I groaned; did she believe that Laxus and I love each other too?
"There. Isn't," I stated firmly, laying emphasis on my words. I made a face at both of them before I turned back to the guild. Suddenly a table came flying out of nowhere. I raised my hand and punched, smashing it in half. I stood up from the stool and brushed the dust of my skirt.
I cracked my knuckles and flexed my fingers. "Now which one of you idiots threw a table at me?"
Half of the guild which had been fighting turned towards me. Gray and Natsu who were clutching at each other's hair and punching and kicking each other like two children, stopped temporarily.
"It was Natsu!" Gray yelled as he punched Natsu in his arm.
"Oi, shut it, ice princess," Natsu shouted as he glared at the ice wizard. The two started fighting again as did the rest of the guild. I sighed but I had a grin on my face.
Time to join in on one of my favorite past time at the guild. Destruction. I jumped in on the fight and started punching and kicking random people like I usually did. These fights were what made Fairy Tail special and I lived for them. It was definitely a good way to strengthen my skills, not that I wasn't already strong. As an S-class wizard and the celestial dragon slayer, I was pretty strong.
I could hear Lucy and Mirajane sighing before they continued their talk. They were used to me being the immature one and joining the fights. But who minded? These fights were fun, even more so for me because I liked beating people up.
After an hour of straight forward fighting, I tumbled towards the bar, panting slightly. With one look at me, Mirajane handed me a glass of water which I gladly gulped. "Where did Lucy go?" I enquired with a heavy breath.
"I think she went for shopping," Mirajane replied. "Oh, that reminds me; Master Makarov called you to his office."
"What?!" I jumped up straight and brushed off the dust and tried to make myself look like I hadn't been fighting. "When? Now?"
"Yeah, you should probably go and see him as soon as possible," Mirajane replied, tapping her finger on her chin. "It sounded urgent."
"Damn!" I cursed under my breath before I got up from the stool and basically ran towards the staircase. I climbed them hurriedly and walked past multiple doors which served as store rooms for the guild. Finally, when I reached the Master's office, I stepped inside, forgetting to knock.
"Sorry Master, I was late. Natsu and Gray were..." My voice died in my throat as I spotted the other person in the room. The familiar smell of a lightning storm filled my nostrils and for a moment, I felt dazed.
What was Laxus doing there?!
Master Makarov was sitting at his desk, reading over a piece of paper. His desk, as usual, was piled high with paperwork. "I'm glad you're here Lucianne, because there's something I wanted to talk to you both about."
"Both of us?" It was Laxus who spoke. His gruff voice was loud and filled up the whole room. It didn't do me any good either as my heart started to pound like a drum. "What do you need both of us for, Gramps?"
"There's a request that came through a few hours," Master Makarov explained to both of them. "There's a town in the north of Fiore that's been experiencing some strange events for the past few weeks and they've specifically asked for you two."
"Why?" I asked with a sinking feeling in my chest. I knew what was coming, I did. But I was not prepared for it at all.
"Yeah, if it's a job, I can handle it on my own. No need to send Short Stuff here," Laxus said with a smirk on his face. I glared at him but a part of me almost screams in joy. Hearing Laxus call me by an old nickname is definitely pleasing.
"Don't call me Short Stuff, Sparky."
"Okay, Short Stuff."
"Children, stop fighting," Master Makarov raised his hand. "The mission requires you both. Here's the details."
I stepped forward and took the paper from him, reading through it carefully.
OUR TOWN IS EXPERIENCING WEIRD PHENOMENA AT NIGHT. THE STARS ARE SHOOTING LIGHTNING AT US FOR SOME REASON.
FAIRY TAIL, PLEASE SEND LUCIANNE HART AND LAXUS DREYAR BECAUSE THEY CAN STOP THIS.
REWARD: 1,000,000J
LOCATIONS: Lunar Town
My eyes popped out at the reward. A million jewels?! That was a lot of money. And the mission? It seemed easy for sure. Stars shooting lightning? Easy peasy. But Laxus didn't seem to think this way as he grabbed the paper out of my hand and read it more closely.
"Hey, I was reading that!" I hissed at him as I tried to grab for the paper. But he only held it higher.
"Lunar Town? What's that place? I don't think I have ever heard of the place," Laxus stated.
"Give it back!" I shouted as I grabbed the paper from him. Gleefully I smiled before I read the town name again. Lunar Town seemed somewhat familiar, like I had read about it somewhere.
"Oh," I said out loudly as I remembered the place. "I know the place; it's supposed to be one of the sacred places in Fiore for celestial wizards because in the night sky there, you can see the maximum number of stars, moreso than any other place. Rumours say that celestial wizards are more stronger in that place. I've been meaning to go there sometime."
"Rumours, huh?" Laxus scoffed. "Celestial wizards definitely couldn't beat me."
Now I glared at him. No one insulted celestial magic in front of me. Our magic was definitely one of the best type of magic around. "Now listen to me, you stupid ass lightning mage, celestial wizards are strong and..."
"Lucianne," Master interrupted me. "You two should prepare for your departure. The train to Lunar Town leaves at 7:30pm and you'll reach the town by early morning. That leaves you with four hours to get ready. Now, off you go."
Damn it, damn it. I kept on cursing my luck. On one hand I was going to visit a place sacred to celestial wizards and on the other, I was going there with Laxus. Definitely not what I wanted. Why him? Why couldn't it be anyone else? Damn you, stupid lightning dragon.
"You know I can hear you right?" Laxus remarked. "Dragon slayer hearing, remember?"
"Good," I turned my head and sent him the fiercest glare I could muster. "I wanted you too. Meet me at the station, Sparky boy and don't be late because I'm going to leave without you."
Without waiting for him to reply, I turned on my foot and walked away from him. I knew I shouldn't have asked for a normal day because it turned out to be a tricking unlucky one. Now I was going to be stuck with Laxus, the one person I had been trying to avoid because of the fact that we didn't really like each other.
Laxus Dreyar, you are going to be the death of me.
