A/N: This is just a silly drabble I wrote out of sheer boredom. Enjoy!
"But daddy," The little girl whined as she tugged on the arm of her oppose. "I really want a Sponge-Bob popsicle." Danny Castellano shook his head and looked down at his daughter with a firm, unwavering look of resistance on his face. He had played this game before, once with Olive and many times with Mindy. As long as he remained stoic and exhibited control, no one was getting ice cream that day.
"Liv, you just had lunch an hour ago." He continued walking faster through the crowds of Central Park, his hand firmly grasped on her tinier one. "Besides, we're gonna be late, we gotta meet your mom in thirty minutes." He could hear Olive huff in frustration; the sound brought a smile to his face. It was remarkable how much she had in common with her mother. Well, perhaps not too remarkable considering she was her mother's daughter, and those sort of similarities were common between parents and their children. Still, Danny found every nuance more adorable than the next.
Especially when it had to do with Liv being annoyed at him. She'd pout her lips the same way Mindy would, whine in the same key as Mindy would, and even hit him with the same force Mindy would. And all of this came from a tiny seven-year-old.
"But think about how happy she'd be if we bought her some too." The enthusiasm in her voice was impressive, he'd give her that. Though Danny found the logic to be slightly weak in regards to selling her point. Who knew if Min would be appreciative or mad that they intentionally sabotaged her latest diet scheme.
"I don't know, Liv, she's been a little neurotic lately."
Liv's brows scrunched together in thought; "What does new-otic mean?"
"Crazy, she's been a little crazy as of late."
"Oh…" Her mouth curled into an "O" shape and she nodded, agreeing."Yeah, she's been really crazy."
Danny smirked and squeezed her hand lightly. "Yeah she has, that's my girl."
"So can I have ice cream for being right?" She stopped walking and peered up at Danny with that look.
It was the cruelest move she could make, and as always, he found his guards slowly breaking to bits. As long as any one of his girls looked at him like that, they were sure to get their way. It was a science, really. One that Danny was certainly not proud of.
It was the same look that got Mindy to include "Tiffany Blue" and "Coral-Citrus" into their bedroom color scheme. As well as the same look that landed her One Direction tickets along with his guaranteed attendance, and majority rule over their conjoined closets.
Now, he got to add "Sponge-Bob Popsicle" to Liv's own growing list of victories. "Your mother has taught you well." With a defeated sigh, he began to lead them towards the opposite direction.
