A/N: This pairing really does need more love ~ I had noooo idea what category to put this under. Oh well! Please let me know what kind of feeling you get from this; I had a specific one in mind, and am curious to see if it came across. Enjoy! Disclaimer.

The cool, weightless water enveloped his limbs, entwining itself with his hair, his fingers. It was a shroud on his face, a sheer robe feigning a cover for his pale limbs. It distorted the sunlight and dappled his eyelids, his neck, the subtle curve of his hips. There was no need to breathe, to disturb – his vampire blood ensured that. He could simply float, encased in serenity itself...
Pressure, on his shoulder. Eyelids parted; a shard of green. Above him, a distorted figure, almost a reflection.
"...Kamui?"
Subaru surfaced, water coursing down his hair, dripping off the ends, tracing rivulets on his chest. Droplets clung to his lips. "Kamui? ...Why do you look so sad?"
Kamui's brow puckered as he spoke. "It...was just like in Tokyo."
Subaru reflected. The calm, too, was like Tokyo. But it didn't come at a price (three years, asleep, alone, wondering – how is he? How is he?), not this time. Just a bath.
He murmured these words even as he lifted a dripping hand to Kamui's jaw, his cheek. Kamui closed his eyes, expression unchanged.
"But still –"
"I know." He smoothed the wrinkles in Kamui's face with his fingertips, before sliding them down, over his nose, his lips, the dip in his collarbone, reaching his shirt, undoing its buttons. "But this time –" white hand, white chest – "we're not alone."
Two alabaster bodies, one wet, one dry. Slender fingers drew him into the water. Two bodies, one hot, one cool (growing warmer). Immersed in water, immersed in him. The slightest brush of a kiss, like beads of water on his lips.
"Because –"
"We have each other."
