I really don't know what I was thinking. It was originally written for a certain coupling, but as I read it I noticed you could hardly tell who it was with who besides one name being mentioned. So the coupling of this could be whoever you want it to be, or feel fits the personalities best. This is something short, and not as great in my opinion. Oh but, what the heck. Here goes. For all I know someone out there just might like this.
I do not own any of the Harvest Moon ideas or characters.
He held her one hand down and shook his head. She looked up at him as he smiled. He lifted his hand off of her's and looked downwards in hope that she wouldn't see his blushing face. She didn't know how he felt.
"What brings you all the way here?" she forced her croaking voice out, and he shook his head. "Don't talk, you're going to make it worst!" he said almost harshly, and she smiled softly, and looked to him awaiting his reply. "I just... wanted to bring you that." he mumbled lowly, pointing to the warm cup of tea. "For your cold." she nodded, placing her hand against the cup to feel it's warmth. "Th-Thank you." she almost coughed.
He stood up from beside her and nodded as if the job was done. "Well... I'll go now." he shrugged and as he was about to step out from the warmth of her room and into the cold snow storm of the out doors, she looked up to him from her bed and mumbled something he couldn't hear, he turned back closing the door again and went near her. "Huh?" "Did... someone send you to give me this?" she croaked, and he shook his head immediately.
"No, I wanted to see you." she smiled at this, and spoke as clear as she possibly could with a deep blush "Thank you so much." she sat up from her bed to give him a short hug. He patted her on the head, and mumbled a "No Problem" before leaving her to head for the door. He didn't know how she felt.
As he touched the knob, and gave her one last look, he called out "Hurry up and get well!" and right before he dissapeared into the white of the outside, he placed a small present on the table near by and added "Oh, yeah, and Happy Birthday" and he slammed the door shut.
She looked in awe at the necklace and letter that was left for her in the box that now lay on the floor in shreds, and she frowned as she glanced at what was an unused blue feather under her sheets.
He looked with an annoyed expression at the home he had just left alone, clutching what was an unused blue feather in his pocket.
He wished she felt the same. She wished he felt the same.
... but if only they knew.
