So, this is really random. I wrote this, and then I just realized that it really could work for Maximum Ride. It takes place after Fang leaves, in Max's POV. It's short, it's a one-shot, I hope you like it. Cause I do 3

The sun shines softly in a sky filled with large, white clouds that are pushed along gently by a subtle breeze. That same breeze ruffles the thick green grass and causes tiny, delicate flowers to wave. Small pools of water reflect the sky like mirrors.
A girl walks through the grass in bare feet, marvelling at the beauty of her surroundings. There is eternal peace, and the only noise in the rippling of brooks and the light blow of the wind.
Her walk soon becomes a run; the fresh, clean air exhilarates her. She laughs out loud, the sound breaking the sole murmurings of nature. In such a place, everything is perfect. She could remain forever and always be happy.
A pair of arms wraps around her waist, stopping her run and hugging her tightly. She realizes that it's him, and she smiles. The last puzzle piece is put in place in her heart at his arrival.
He lifts her a few inches off the ground, and her toes brush the grass. She pushes against his arms, begging him playfully to put her down. She feels a chuckle reverberate through his chest as he complies.
She turns, the wind blowing the skirts of her summer dress lightly around her knees. He smiles at her and her heart swells with happiness.
But then she opens her eyes. The darkness greets her as she returns from her fantasy. She is once again lying alone in bed, engulfed in darkness and wishing for her daydreamed peace through the sad loneliness of darkened reality.
